علق الإسبانى أوجستى بوش، المدير الفني لفريق سلة الأهلى، على هزيمة الفريق في نهائي البطولة العربية أمام الكويت الكويتي وضياع اللقب. وكتب أوجستى بوش، على صفحته الرسمية بموقع تويتر، "خسارة صعبة فى نهائي البطولة العربية التى أقيمت بالكويت، مبروك للفريق المضيف، نشعر أنه تم أخذها بعيدًا عنا ولكن بالإضافة إلى إلقاء اللوم على الآخرين من الحكام، واللجنة المنظمة، والمنافسين، يجب أن نلقى نظرة على الأخطاء التي ارتكبناها مثل الارتداد والتدريب.. وأضاف أوجستى، "إذا تعلمنا من تلك الأخطاء فسنرتد أقوى، وأنا متأكد من ذلك، وكل ما يمكنني قوله هو أن لاعبينا وطاقمنا تركوا قلوبهم وأرواحهم فى الملعب وأن جماهيرنا يمكن أن تفخر بهم ، فأنا فخور وممتن لهم أيضًا. دعونا نستمر في الدفع معا! وأهم شيء أريد أن أعبر عن امتناني لآلاف مشجعي الأهلي في الكويت، لقد كنتم مذهلين طوال البطولة ، ولكن أنا حزين حقًا لأنه بعد مجهودكم الكبير لم نتمكن من تقديم الكأس لكم. وبالنسبة لمشجعينا في مصر فشعرنا أيضًا بدعمكم من بعيد ونأمل أن نشعر به قريبًا في صالة الألعاب الرياضية الخاصة بنا وفي جميع أنحاء مصر. يلا الأهلي!".
